Prof. Galia Avidan

Our research focuses on the psychological and neural properties of perceptual processes, especially of internal stimuli – also referred to as interoception. We explore this fascinating subject by adopting a multidisciplinary approach combining functional and structural brain imaging (fMRI) and behavioral and physiological measures, as well as advanced computational methods – which enables us to study connectivity patterns in the human brain that are associated with specific cognitive abilities and individual differences.
