Prof. Guy Bar-Oz

Professor of Archaeology at the School of Archaeology and Maritime Cultures, University of Haifa, and head of the Laboratory of Archaeozoology, which he founded in 2003. He holds degrees in Biology, Archaeology, Ecology, and Zoology from Tel Aviv University, and completed post-doctoral studies at Harvard University. His research focuses on developing and applying innovative methods to reconstruct, in high resolution, the cultural and environmental landscapes of past societies. Prof. Bar-Oz is a member of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities and leads a broad scientific network bridging anthropological and biological research.
